Most mornings, before emails and errands tug at my sleeve, I lace up my shoes and slip into the woods near my lake community. "Sunrise Through the Forest" is a 16x20 acrylic on canvas painted from one of those quiet walks, when the first light slips between the trunks and the world still feels half-asleep.
