Northeast Lazy River
18 x 24
Ever get the opportunity to go back and revisit an old painting you did as a study years ago. Well, that painting had sold and felt it was to time to take the challenge and create an updated version implementing my new techniques of pallet knife painting on an 18x24 gallery wrapped canvas.
The original was more of a stormy sea. The challenge was to make it a misty day with a more leisurely river, reminding me of upstate going on a whitewater rafting trip for beginners. Just enough surf and Adirondack mountains to capture the spirit of adventure. You can almost feel the spray and mist of the water splashing on your face and sense the danger of the rocks jutting out into the surf.
This painting is for the light hearted adventurer wanting to bring an atmosphere of traveling down a lazy river in the summertime.
