"Springtime Blooming" grew from one of those walks-a 16x20 original acrylic palette knife painting that turns that fleeting moment into something you can live with every day.
I worked almost entirely with the knife here, pushing thick layers of paint into the canvas to echo the way blossoms cluster and tangle along weathered boards. Up close, you can trace each ridge of color as if you were running your fingertips along the fence itself.
