Every artist has an image that feels like a mirror held up to the soul. For me, that image became "My Spirit Guide." On this 16x20 acrylic canvas, I reached for my palette knives not just to paint an animal, but to express the feeling of living untamed-half in the world of trees and wind, half in the world of thought and memory.
As I pulled color across the surface, I let the edges stay raw and energetic. Feathers, fur, or mane-however you choose to see it-emerge from bold, directional strokes that seem to move even when the room is still.
